Panasonic Unveils 3D Plasma TV, Takes CNET Best of Show for CES 2010

Panasonic shared its 2010 contribution to the 3D market, the TC-PVT25 series, with those in attendance at the International CES last week in Las Vegas, Nevada. CNET was so impressed with the new series it awarded the TC-PVT25 "Best in Show", as well as "Best in Television".

An upgrade from the TC-PV10 series, this new 3D compatible series is one of the few from television producers to include brand-new 3D glasses along with the future purchase of the set. Toshiba Displays First Cell TV for US at CES 2010

Toshiba unveiled its first Cell TV for the United States market at the International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada this past week.
The Cell TV model uses a two-piece system with an impressive set-top box that houses the advanced Cell processor and wirelessly communicates with the 1080p LCD screen itself. Toshiba says it is 10 times more powerful than most PCs and 143 times faster than most other LCD TVs.

Canon has announced that next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the Canon Toner Cartridge Recycling Program.

Since 1990, Canon has recycled, reused or recovered toner cartridges, collecting a grand total of approximately 220,000 metric tons. The recycling operation now stretches a total of 23 countries worldwide.

Panasonic Finally Acquires the Majority of Sanyo

Panasonic became the proud owner of a majority of Sanyo stock today at the cost of approximately 4.6 billion for 50.2 percent of Sanyo's stock.

Panasonic is now further established as one of the world's largest electronics makers while making Sanyo a subsidiary of the electronics giant. The deal will also give Panasonic free reign on Sanyo's products, including batteries, solar products, and electronics similar to Panasonic's own existing line.
