NIKKOR Turns 80!

Nikon’s well-known lens technology, the NIKKOR lens line-up, has just reached its 80th year! Nikon aficionados should note that this family of lenses first came onto the scene in 1933 with the first shipment of the Aero-Nikkor aerial photographic lenses. In 1959, Nikon began developing its own SLR camera and soon after began developing lenses for both its own and for other SLR cameras. For 80 years now, Nikon has done a great job of establishing itself as a top-quality camera and lens manufacturer and for staying on the cutting edge of new technological developments in both fields. Happy birthday, NIKKOR and congratulations to Nikon!
