Sony Announces Three New Series of Memory Cards to Meet the Growing Demands of Today’s Digital Imaging Users

Sony announces the release of three new series of memory cards. You can never have enough options when it comes to digital storage and along comes Sony providing amateurs, pros, and prosumers alike with additional options on where to stick their pictures. These new memory cards are geared towards cameras that don’t take memory sticks and their use ranges from casual photography to the most data-intensive imaging applications.

The high performance Expert Series provides super-fast transfer speeds up to 22MB/s and is a Class 10 SDHC Card.  The expert series is available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB. This series is ideal for memory intensive applications such as full HD video, continuous burst shooting, and 3D imaging.
The value-added Experience Series is perfect for shooting stills and full HD video with your DSLR and camcorder. Providing transfer speeds of up to 15MB/s this is a Class 4 SDHC card and is available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacity.

Lastly, the entry-level Essential Series is an excellent value, perfect for boosting the storage capacity of your basic point-and-shoot camera, basic camcorder, or for transferring digital music and media files. This series is a Class 4 SDHC card and it is available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacities.

Prices have not yet been announced but are said to be available shortly.
