Sharp Presents World's First Four-Primary-Color 3D LCD TV
04.13.2010

On Monday, April 12, 2010, Sharp introduced the Four-Primary-Color 3D LCD TV, the latest development in the television industry. Shifting the standard from the former multi-primary color technology featuring red, green and blue pixels, these new televisions utilize a fourth pixel color: yellow.

With Four-Primary-Color technology, Sharp proudly disclaims they hold the industry's highest image brightness with a low chance of undesirable "ghost" images. This is the first television of its kind available for commercial use.

Naturally, Sharp also utilized the rising demand for 3D technology in this latest development of televisions. With special 3D glasses, one could enjoy Sharp's Four-Primary-Color LCD TVs with a crisp sense of depth and realistically vivid three-dimensional detail.

The four-primary-color 3D LCD TVs will also feature some of the LCD technologies Sharp customers expect, such as UV2A (Ultraviolet-induced multi-domain Vertical Alignment) and FRED (Frame Rate Enhanced Driving) technology, as well as side-mount scanning LED backlighting.
