Olympus Announces the New SZ-30MR Super Zoom Camera Capable of Capturing HD Movies and Stills Simultaneously

Olympus announces the release of their new super zoom camera the SZ-30MR. The Super-zoom SZ-30MR has a slender body and a huge 24x optical zoom lens (25-600mm equivalent). The true innovation of the SZ-30MR, is the Olympus dual engine technology which allows for the ability of its’ CMOS sensor to process two simultaneous streams at the same time. This multi-recording option allows for the capture of 1080p HD video and 16-megapixel still images at the same time or the ability to record dual movies in different modes at the same time. Some additional features include dual image stabilization, a backlit 16-megapixel sensor, 16 scene modes, 3D shooting capabilities, Eye-Fi Card compatibility, advanced face detection, and shadow adjustment technology. The Olympus SZ-30MR will be available in April with an expected price tag of $400.
