Canon Introduces Two New Entry-Level DSLR's the Rebel T3 (EOS 1100D) and the Rebel T3i (EOS 600D)
02.16.2011

Being released one year after the launch of the widely popular T2i, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i is very much the same as the T2i, but clearly shows Canon's intent on the continued integration of video into their DSLR's. To help with shooting video, the T3i has acquired a flexible Vari-Angle 3 inch LCD screen from the higher-end EOS 60D. Additional features include new filter effects, also carried over from the EOS 60D, and a new advanced Feature Guide. The T3i will be available in early March for $799.99 for the body alone, or $899.99 with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens.
The Canon EOS Rebel T3 will be the new entry level Rebel replacing the 2 1/2 year old Rebel XS model. Compared to the Rebel XS the T3 will be equipped with an increased sensor resolution of twelve megapixels, updating to the current DIGIC 4 processor, a wider ISO range, high-definition 720p video capabilities, and a slightly larger 2.7 inch LCD display. The Canon EOS T3 will be available in late March for 599.99 and includes a new kit lens the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II zoom lens.
