Samsung TV App Downloads Exceed 2 Million
01.24.2011

Samsung recently announced that TV App downloads from its App store reached the 2 million mark.  Everyone loves Apps, and the news from Samsung's TV App Store shows that Apps for TV's are catching on with consumers as application downloads are steadily picking up steam. Samsung's App Store was the first App store specifically designed for TV, and while it has been online for almost a year it took a full nine months to exceed a million downloads and only two additional months to double that amount.
Samsung is focusing on expanding its list of available Apps and has reached two million downloads with only a few hundred Apps currently available. Among the most popular Apps downloaded are YouTube, Hulu Plus, ESPN Next Level, AccuWeather, Google Maps, and Texas Hold’em.
