Tamron Releases 60th Anniversary Model, the SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Tele Zoom Lens

Optics manufacturer Tamron Co., Ltd. has just celebrated its 60th anniversary with the release of the Superior Performance SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD Full-Size Premium Tele Zoom lens.

President and CEO Morio Ono announced the new lens development as another progression toward higher resolution images, placing it in the superior premium category. The lens features image stabilization-VC (Vibration Compensation) and Tamron's new Ultra Silent Drive (USD) motor.

The anniversary-inspired lens has been produced to mount on Nikon digital SLR cameras with Canon and Sony models in current development. The official product name is Model A005.
